I'm curious if folks have feed products from the natural food store to their flock. And, what that might be.

Care to share?

Steve

Okay, here's some of the things I've purchased for the birds at the natural food store - organic, in bulk, all that . . .
but, it wasn't just for the hens since I had to be concerned about a few Birmingham roller pigeons.

pearled Barley
split green peas
split yellow peas
popcorn

We're sharing a big batch of sprouts this week. I bought the seeds at what used to be called the health food store.

I give them veggies - grape tomatoes, grapes, sprouts, raisins, oats (that I cook), and frozen peas and corn, and they are all from the natural food store. There layer pellet is organic too. I figure that birds are very sensitive to pestisides, so I try to only give them organic. And I try to eat only organic when possible.

I give them organic corn and wheat berries - sometimes grow/sprout a little "lawn" from the berries - the chix love it!
