My really good show and breeding rooster lost his comb this winter due to frostbite... Will it grow back? And can I still show him?

I don't show chickens, but I know that some bantam breeds are normally dubbed. The frostbitten comb won't grow back, but I had a Marans rooster this year who suffered my first case of frostbite, and most of it has healed up in the last 6 weeks. I would hold out hope that it might not be so bad, after it heals. Usually after a month or so the comb tips will fall off. If your guy loses some of his comb, maybe you can use him to breed some good looking babies. Good luck.

The rest of his comb has fallen off so it looks dubbed but he just happens to be my only rooster that's not a bantam so he is in with my big girl layers lol I would love to keep him for breeding but I would also need another rooster to form a trio for showing but I would be afraid of the two roosters fighting because they would have to be cooped together
