I had an episode with frostbite a few weeks ago. My buttercup roo has lost a part of both of his waddles and one of my hens got it on her toe. The flesh is obviously all dead and the live flesh just above the frostbite is swollen. She is on antibiotics and electrolytes but I was wondering if I should cut off the dead part of the toe. It would be through the bone and that is the only reason I'm trying to find out what to do.

I would not even try at this moment. But if you do you can use sharp and clean end nippers. You will want to put a bandage on it.

Can you post a pic?
