frostbitten wattle = INFERTILITY??

Someone told me that my roo that has a small bit of frost bite on his wattle (black) and has had vaseline treatments will be infertile! What

does having a little frost bite have to do with spring infertility??? Just curious..

I've heard the same thing, but have not found it to be factual. If you think about it logically, a rooster's testicles are safely enclosed in his body far away from his wattles and comb. If frostbite causes serious debilitation of a rooster, I can understand impact upon fertility until he recovers.
