Frozen Egg Question

Sooo, it’s winter.
I usually gather our eggs in the evening. I set them out on the counter. And I usually wash them in a day or so and then refrigerate.
Now that’s it’s winter and crazy cold out, our eggs have been freezing before I can collect them in the evenings. Am I safe to guess I can’t keep them out on our counter anymore? Should I wash and refrigerate right away? How long are they good for if I wash a frozen egg and refrigerate it right away? New to the whole frozen egg stuff. I need to move to better climate

Washing immediately is good. If you do it in warm water, it also helps shrink the ice in the egg so that the crack may seal itself. I cut away the exposed frozen white before I do this so that there's no dirt brought inside the egg. Refrigeration is necessary. I've never kept them long enough to need an expiration date.

I will warn you that eggs, once thoroughly frozen, never quite recover. The yolk will never scramble properly again. It'll just remain a weird, solid mass.
