With the recent introduction of 4 young chickens, the three older chickens have decoded to lay their eggs else where. I found the eggs in the mulch, close to the front door of my house. (The chickens free range during the day.) It has been very cold here and I would imagine the eggs have frozen. Are they still safe to eat? The eggs have been out in the cold weather for several days.

Especially if they are cold, they should be okay. You can always do the float test on eggs. Put them in a pan of water that is deeper than the egg, if the egg completly floats to the top of the water, it is bad. Don't worry if it stands on one end, that is normal due to the air sack inside.

Hello and welcome to BYC

Frozen eggs are perfectly o.k. to eat. Just be careful: the extreme cold may crack the egg shells, so thaw them in a bowl!
