I'm gonna leave a link to my heated waterer. If your tired of walking water to your coop every few hours and want an easy way to keep your water liquid, clean and not refill for a number of days (depending on how many chickens) make a horizontal nipple waterer with a stock tank deicer. I don't get as cold as up north (where I used to live) but my son uses the same set up in SE PA. I know there are others on here that use horizontal nipples and stock tank deicers in cold climates.

I thought it was already linked in this thread, but maybe it was another thread on heated waterers. I don't have to deal with extreme cold, but if I did, I'd take a hard look at this one. The only thing I don't like about it is you can't see the water level in it.
