Hi everyone! I noticed yesterday that my ducks' coop has BUNCHES of fruit flies at the window. The ducks play with their water and soak their straw bedding within a day! I think the moist area is attracting the flies, so I'm trying to think of a way to make a smaller and shorter one of these: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/641902/created-a-water-saver-for-my-duck-brooder
Although this will (hopefully) take care of the moisture in the coop, this probably won't get rid of the flies (once the flies are there, they don't wanna leave!). So is there something I could do to get the flies of of my ducks' coop? I would hang a sticky fly strip on the ceiling, but the ducks like to fly up in the coop and I don't want the fly strip stuck to them. I could take a vacuum and vacuum the flies out after I get the water saver made. If that won't work, I would like something NON-TOXIC to my ducks in case the ducks fly up and knock it over. Thanks!
