hi all - we bought some straight run large fowl blue orpington chicks from a local exhibition-quality breeder. we only intend to keep 2 girls from the batch and 2 are already suspiciously like little boys. we're hoping beyond hope to find good homes for them - please, if you intend to eat them, don't ask!!! (this is the last time i buy straight run chicks - this is toooooo hard!)
they're 5 weeks old now, have been brooded in our family room, surrounded by kids, dogs and cats. are being fed medicated starter w/thorvin kelp, had vitamins and electrolytes in their water for the first 3 weeks. they're friendly little piggies!
i'd be willing to drive a bit to meet someone who would be providing a good HOME! i'd also be willing to hang on to them for awhile for someone who will be in the area for a local show or the puyallup fair, etc.
make me an offer!
these are the little velociraptors we're pretty sure are boys!
