Fun in the run

Could you share some things you have in your run for fun? Toys? Things to hop on and perch on? Play with? Thanks

Hello,

Some of the things I've included in my chicken run are...

1.) perch's
2.) 5 gallon bucket suspended by rope (chickens love to hop up onto the bucket and rock)
3.) I hide food around different areas of the run (not feed but rather fruits/vegetables)
4.) I placed grass clippings over the top of my run...with a pole to perch on...so they can climb and peck at the grass clippings...

I have a few wild bird suet feeders hanging at various heights and stuff them with goodies a couple of times a week - cabbage, apple chunks, even Brussels sprouts - whatever is handy and won't fall through the holes in the feeders. They love them. It's so much fun watching them with the suet feeders it's hard to discipline myself not to do it too often - their main diet should still be their chick starter at this point even though they look and act like full grown chickens!
