Fun positive-negative energy trick

My DD called with this. Have a person rub their hands together briskly. Suspend a pendulum over their outstretched palm. Have the person think first of something strongly positive then strongly negative. The pendulum string is supposed to change directions with the pos/neg thoughts. It worked on my DS, DD and all the ladies in her office. I coudn't get it to work on my hand, though. My DD used thoughts of political candidates that she favored or opposed.
