Fun poultry show near Columbus, IN April 4th

Announcing Bartholomew County Open Poultry Show
Saturday, April 4th, 2009

This is a non-sanctioned show to raise funds for the Feathered Friends 4-H Poultry Club of Bartholomew County

It will be held in the Hope Community Center
543 Washington Street
Hope, IN 47246
Entry is $3.00 per bird.
This is a heated indoor arena

There will be some awards (tba) No meets or points

Hopefully with enough support, this will become a sanctioned show in future years.

I look forward to coming to the show in Hope, Indiana. I used to live near there in a community called old ST. Louis crossing. Haven't been there in about 20 years. Norman

I knew a lady that lived in Old St. Louis crossing, Eve Bundy. She raised Araucanas/Easter Eggers. That was about 20 years ago

I"ve just started and not been to one of thes shows yet. What happens here? Is this where chickens are shown for prizes or is there swapping/selling going on? I'm going to try to get there but wondered what all to expect.

Both. You have to pre-register any birds you plan to show, and probably should call to reserve a sales space.
