Fun stuff happening..

Candled my eggs last night at 4 days..saw plenty of spider looking veins. Will candle tonight also to see if I see a heart beating..usually happens on the 5th or 6th day. I could also see in one egg, an eye, and a body starting to form..oh I love this!

What is wrong with me? I can't seem to get enough lately.

I have cucko marans mixed with Auracana and black star..interesting mix. The cucko roo that I saw was beautiful..purebred, the other roo was the Auracana/cucko mix. The hens were black star. I should be getting some pretty nice sized eggs, and plenty to boot, come fall.

Sounds great. My first mutt chick just hatched this AM and is peeping down at me in the incubator on top of my desk. I'm hooked too! The kids have been treating the incubator like a TV this AM and are loving it too.

See, it's educational! No doubt about it. Bring out the goodies and watch like you would an interesting t.v. show..only this is better.

Yup, no better education than nature and life itself. Another preschooler is coming over today to see em hatch today -- a bunch are pipping so we'll have a lot of entertainment today. Now I'm planning my next hatch
