Funny Acting Chickens.

It rained really bad last week leaving the coop in a putrid smelling mess. so we cleaned it out and went and got some sand, we washed it and let it dry in the sun and then put it in.

But those silly Birds now that it has sand in it they wont come down off the roost.

Is this normal ?

Chickens are so cwazy.

Any changes in environment will cause them to act differently. Give
them time and they will get over it.

Maybe you laughing at them is hurting their feelings.

Try throwing some scratch or white rice down and see how fast they
hop down to eat it. They will overcome their fear.
