My best laugh in years.
My great niece (saw her once 13 yrs. ago) sent a letter "begging" for friends and relatives to donate money so she could start her freshman university year in cheerleading camp. We can send a check to my niece and she will send in one check to the cheerleading coach in FL. She needs to raise $500. The rub is that the girl's father is a Navy commander and my niece inherited a fortune from her maternal grandfather. This is all happening in their beautiful new home. Their last residence was in Spain.
How's that for creativity! My sister and I had the best laughs and one-liners. I'm thinking of doing the same thing so my DH can go to golf camp in Hawaii, of course, where else. I will be his caddy and I will promise all of those who donate that I will work every minute. wink, wink!
What do you think the etiquette ladies would say about this bold letter. The girl even sent a SASE, written in script, no less. Frankly, this is tacky, but isn't this a hoot?
