Funny things with kids

We are new to chickens and my 12 year old son realized they like bugs, so he would first go and find bugs and bring them to the chickens. Our chicks are about 12 weeks and are learning to look on thier own. I just wasnt quite fast enough for him though.

So he picked up his chicken Henrietta and started taking the chickent to the bugs. We seem to have a lot of spiders this year. And for a tough kid he sure is afraid of spiders. He was finding them on a wall about 4 feet up and with in a few minutes he and Henrietta easily cleaned up about 30 spiders. What a team! I just sat back and laughed my butt off.

I was holding one of my chickens and she reached out and nabbed a mosquito as it flew past. Gotta love our bug thugs!

That's great!!!!!! I sure hope our chickens are as wonderful as bug hunting.
