Future chickens

In another thread a while ago I said what did people use to feed there chickens before all this chicken feed an pellets was invented you know like way back in the day. Like this chicken feed apparently has all the stuff chickens need and everyone says oh U godda get that stuff so I was like what did they use when this wasn't a thing.

Someone said in reply to that, that the olden days chooks where different then the chickens today almost a completely different bird in a way that didn't need all the stuff ones today need.

So what your thoughts on chickens in the future? Go as far into the future as you want with this, do you think there will be more pure breed birds created and recognised or do you think chickens will even be recognised as chickens? Who knows.

I think they are about the same for diet today as back when. We just didn't know what we know now. We also have city chickens that can't free range and need processed food. I also believe the future will be pretty much the same, processed food.
