My daughter has really become involved in her local 4H and has had great luck with her garden, and has been selling her extra vegetables, to raise money to buy chickens... We have narrowed down our choices to Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks... Due to winter hardiness and size and quantity of eggs... We know it is late in the season, and we are not expecting much, from them this year, but we are looking for anyone who may have some laying hens to sell, in our area... We have tried craigslist and local papers, without much luck... We only need 3 and are willing to pay a reasonable amount...
