Are game hens good broodys?

I don't really know if game hens are good broodies or not. But if you want a good broody you should look into gettiing a silkie if you dont already have one. Silkies are good mothers and go broody a lot.

Yes. My old English game bantams are some of the best broodies I've ever had. They're 'smarter' than silkies and especially good at raising chicks that will be free range when they're older, as they teach them how to survive. Some of my hens are 7 years old and are still laying, hatching chicks, and completely free ranging. They're tough little birds my silkies hatch tons of eggs for me, but they aren't very good mothers. Sometimes they'll leave the chicks that they hatch to their own devices and go back to setting a nest within a week after hatch. Silly birds.

Ohh ok thank you for the info because im looking for a good broody hen and just wanted to know wich hens are actually good mommys

well in my experiences silkies were okay moms but definatley excellent broodies and my easter eggers where really really good moms. they took care of them, protected them, and watched over them.

Game hens rock as mommas! They're scrappy, good foragers, good mommas and their babies tend to do very well.
