I've got 11 week old guinea keets, 10 week old and 7 week old chicks all housed together. I've been feeding medicated turkey starter 26%, after reading here the extra protien shouldn't hurt the chicks. Today I stopped by the feed store and picked up a bag of medicated game bird starter. For some reason I thought it was lower protien than the turkey starter, and it was cheaper, I got home and realized it was 30%.
I know this is fine for the guineas, but will all that extra protein hurt the chicks?
Should I get a bag of chick starter and mix the 2 together?
