Gapeworm questions

I treated my duckling today for gapeworm w liquid safeguard dewormer... It's been 5 hours sense I treated him n he had a small red dried thing like a worm on his chest. Is this normal? I've bet had baby duck, never wormed them... Idk what to expect!! Help!

I have never wormed a duck. From what I've understood, ducks are not usually susceptible to parasites. I feed squash with seeds quite regularly to my adults, might be a natural wormer. I don't know what you saw either, sorry.
