It sounds like she was simply adjusting her crop. It can mimic a respiratory issue or gapeworm. Adjusting the crop is normal, no problem.

I believe so as well. She is totally normal this morning. She is bright, alert and a happy girl. Eating like normal , breathing is perfect. Thank for for responding.

Does she still lay eggs?

I agree, it sounds like crop adjustment. Check her crop first thing in the morning to make sure it's emptying overnight. Feel her abdomen below the vent between her legs for bloat or fluid.

No she hasn't ben laying for a while. She is going on 6 soon. I checked the crop and it was empty. She is back to her normal Martha self.
