garage door on my coop?

If you decide to take out the garage door .... perhaps you could replace it with a double (man) door. One half would be used all the time for in and out. The other half would stay latched until you want to get in there with a wheel barrow.

I'm a newbie to chickens. I'm studying this forum to learn stuff. And boy what a great place for that! I learned soooo much about designing the coop .... I think the deep (brain not working) stuff on the floor is the way to go. I'm going to put a 4 inch threshold at my man door to hold it in. .... You know what I think is neat history? Hundreds of years ago in old England when they kept straw on the kitchen floor, it was called THRESH. They built up the bottom of the doorway to HOLD it in.

Cabincrazyone- That's neat! I didn't know that. I am very much a newbie, myself, and I can't tell you how much I've learned from this site! The members here are great, so helpful!

Anyway, I really need to get moving on my coop! BUT, I keep getting sidelined! I have made my "final" decision on what kinds I'm getting, only to find a new breed that looks cool! I was trying to keep it to 10 to start out, but its so hard!!
