Garden Snakes found in coop! Help?!

It does kinda depend on your garden snake. I've seen the term applied somewhat loosely in the past. My own grandfather would use the term to apply to puff adders, aka eastern hognose snake. (Don't ever upset them... the vomit is for real disgusting.) Others just seem to attach the name to any nonvenomous snake they cross paths with.

These are definitely garden snakes. I know my reptiles. I've worked with reptiles, amphibians, small animals (hamsters, guineas etc.), exotic small animals (hedgehogs and so on), for years so they are just the basic, harmless, garden snake that are all over here in Illinois. I'm new to owning chickens though this is my first small, backyard flock.
