Gardeners, can you identify this??

My mom got this from a neighbor who moved and left several plants. She thought it was pretty and would love to plant it but we are unsure of how big it will get. If anyone knows what this is, please let me know so we know where to put it. Thanks

We call them nandinas. They will eventually grow to 10' or 12'. They will also put out side sprouts and spread. They do best in partial shade; they are much prettier than when grown in full sun. I used to have them as a foundation planting -- they needed pruning at least a couple of times a year to control height.
