Garlic in chicken water

So I normally have ACV water available for my chickens but heard that garlic can also be beneficial.

Now, would this be clove or is minced also okay? Going shopping today and would like to get them some.
Also, how much would you recommend for a one gallon watering container?

A clove is what I normally use. It works the best, but minced may also work. One clove per gallon is more than enough.

I would not buy pre minced garlic if you're going to use it. Just chop up a clove roughly. It's fresher and has more benefit than the ones pre packaged (and often include other ingredients to preserve)
