Gasoline on Scaly Leg Mites?

Hi all.... I believe my barred rock rooster has leg mites, can anyone confirm? Has been limping and not walking much someone suggested a gasoline soak. Have any of you tried this and what was your experience like?

That is what it looks like! Do NOT use gasoline. Use Vaseline or dip/soak the entire leg in rubbing alcohol.

Check under her feet for bumble foot. Your looking for a round scab or a puncture mark.

Your picture is blurry so I can't tell if she has leg mites.

Don't use gasoline soaking, it's extremely volatile and dangerous. You will kill your chicken.

No it does not look like he has leg mites It looks like he might have Marek's disease though.

Definitely do not use gasoline. It will be systemic quickly.

No it does not look like he has leg mites It looks like he might have Marek's disease though.

Do you suspect Marek's from the patchy skin coloration? Im trying to learn what to look for

Doesn't look like Scaly Leg Mites.

Is he having trouble getting around?
What symptoms are you seeing (lethargy, unable to walk, stumbling, respiratory illness...) besides the few spots on his legs, which could be a number of things, from patchy coloring (backyard mixed breed), scabs, etc. ?
