Gazillions of buttons! What to do with them?

Go to a place that sells antiques, and see if they have a jar of buttons for sale. The more expensive, high-quality buttons are usually in a case nearby. Then you can compare and see if you have some real treasures in your button stash.
I know a lady that collects buttons. She looks for the ones made of ivory (can't make them any more) and rhinestones (higher quality than today's versions).

Also, vintage glass buttons are more valuable.
Buttons made from Bakelite are over the top on price especially if they are multicolored.

Unusual buttons can be displayed in a frame in a grid pattern.....people who collect buttons display them in groupings.

You might take a photo of your Grandmother and make a collage frame using buttons. There are nice shadow box frames that would hold her photo and maybe a lace hankie and some of the nicer buttons...

Big buttons can be strung in stacks to make those button dolls.

I got my grandmothers buttons and she had TONS, you know how they always put an extra button with a shirt well she had A LOT lol. I started sewing them onto a scarf to make a funk comfy button scarf, it takes time though.
