G'day Everyone , my name is David, I'm 17 (18 in a couple of weeks), I'm from down under in Sydney Australia and I'm celebrating my 1st year of owning chooks. Along that year BYC was a major help to me from advice on raising chicks, to coop ideas and so much more. I currently own 6 ISA brown hens, 1 common Quail, and a female Golden Pheasant. Raising chooks has brought so much joy to my life, something you got to do to understand. I enjoy poultry so much I plan to get more, hopefully a couple Indian Runner Ducks for something different. I've managed to keep my poultry in a decent sized urban backyard. It's funny telling my friends I own chickens, most of them assume I live on a farm.

Now that I'm a member, I look forward to contributing ideas and answers to others posts, I'm sure you'll do the same for me
