Geese and chickens

We are thinking of getting a few geese. They would be house separately from our chickens and ducks however they would all free range together in our backyard. Would this be ok or would the geese pick on the chickens to much? Thanks!

Hi Tori. Good to house them separately. What are the geese for? Just eggs? If so, you could get just females which would be a far easier task. And how big is your yard? If it´s a good size you´d probably be ok with a gander, if you want one. Also, have a good read through the forums to get some idea about them. have fun!

Thanks for the reply! I've never had goose but I kinda want meat and eggs. Our yard is about half an acre in the back, maybe a bit more. Would 2 ganders be too many? I found 2 pairs from someone I was interested in. African and buffs. I was thinking of taking all 4.
