I'll start from the beginning. Last night I had my coop-to-coop door open. Note: My chicken food is in the main pen and my grit and oyster are in the newer pen. The coon broke into my new coop my hitting the chicken wire and ripping the staples out of the wall. Luckily, with my coop-to-coop door open, everyone (ducks and chicken) retreated into the main coop (where my geese were). The coon didn't even go in the main coop. My 3 month old geese kept them away. The coon "feasted" on grit for the night and left without harming 1 bird. I am SO proud of my geese and they are the best predator protectors I ever could have bought. The gander must have been feeling pretty strong, so it decided to bite me. It didn't hurt, so I didn't care.

Geese are amazing birds, especially with yard security. How awesome that they protected the whole flock! I have always wanted some African Geese.

African are very good protectors, the only reason they're better than something like a buff.
