I have four geese and I keep giving them food but they barely eat I am going to try some scratch grain (yes I know it’s not the best for them but they like it) so I will see if they want to eat then but they usually eat all their food in a day or two but they have left their food alone does anyone know if they eat less in winter also I have a gosling that is six months old and she hasn’t grown much since October and she should be pretty big by now but she’s like the size of a hen she is about seven pounds we took her to the vet in late October because she broke her wing but the vet didn’t say anything about her size I wanna know what I can give her to make her get bigger
She does eat fine though

What are you feeding?
In the winter, mine eat 1/4# grass and or alfalfa hay and 1C all poultry feed mixed with wheat each. They are a med size breed.
They eat all flock they have tried alfalfa but didn’t like it much in the spring and summer they eat a lot of grass but I have gave them some greens since we don’t have grass right now

Try hay again Not uncommon for them to ignore hay in the summer when there is plenty of grass. Mine do prefer g/a over straight alfalfa. Try a different feed or mix in some scratch grains. Most can't resist corn or wheat.
