Geese wont sleep in run

Here's a late note on getting geese to go to bed independently: Mine have now somehow trained themselves to get inside before the automatic door closes at sunset. They are now over a year old and are raising goslings, both of which might make them more aware of the safety advantages of going inside a shelter. They also have chickens next door. Someone else on this site thought their geese might be watching the chickens to know when they should go in at night. Anyway, I thought going inside at night might be something they are more willing to do with age.
