OK, OK!! I caved in and posted asking your advice for a chicken gender-reveal!!!

This new chicken started "combing-out" much earlier than the adult Delaware I have, pictured on my profile pic here. That hen was named Doug/ Dougie by a ten-year-old kid, who thought all chickens were boys like in the cartoons. So when this chick starting looking and acting roostery early on, we named her Della, so we could have two mis-matched-name Delawares.

Della was less afraid and easier to catch with chunky legs. She had really dark wings at birth, that's why I picked her... she stood out because all the other Delawares in the brooder were all white. Then I realized that if there were 25 chicks and only two had dark wings, and there's a 90% chance of female...I just picked the statistical male. Over time, Della's wings faded to white and her body became more rounded. When Della was 8 weeks, my husband said, "She's a hen!" I said, "Wait a minute, you've been saying Rooster since the second week!" I have raised two Easter Egger roosters and they had bigger single combs at 8 weeks than Della does at 10. On the other hand, Dougie, barely had any comb at all until 3 months. And this chicken makes a little whining squeak when you pick her up, while Dougie the hen was more silent. Last thing, Della is EXTREMELY DOCILE! Here is Della at 10 weeks. What do you think? Roo or Hen? Or do I need to wait?
