Gender and Mutation of my Asian Blue button quail??

Any ideas? Sold to me as Asian blue and the guy does not keep any other types, he says. As far as I know, I have a pair, because my other one is clearly a male and is a plain ol' asian blue.

So, is this a lady quail? How do I sex them?

I'd say she's a well she. Looks like a normal wild or maybe cinnamon. The photo color is kinda yellow maybe? and she is covered by the hand so it's hard for me to see.

Either of these colors although would have a white bib like I assume your male has as well as reddish feathers on his vent (bottom)

Thank you, quailbrain! I am pretty sure she is a lady quail - the male has started just today to get protective of her. If I handle her he gets very riled up.
