https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7480146/width/200/height/400[/IMG I have raised 4 chicks and they are now 4 months old. One of my chickens is crowing quite a bit...very loudly at 5 a.m. every morning. Two of my chickens could be the culprit, because they look very similar. Are they both roosters? The darker one does have a bit brighter and larger comb and wattle.

I can not keep roosters because I have neighbors close by. I don't think they appreciate the 5 a.m. wake-up call.

I can't tell if they are both cockerels or just the darker one. One is definitely crowing. They are 4 months old. Also....Are they Barred Rocks?

The one in the second picture is a boy fro sure and in the first picture the second bird looks to be a girl and the first chicken in the first picture looks to be a girl also but i could be wrong.

It's a bit difficult with the angles on your photos but maybe this will help: check their tail feathers, if they are strong, straight and round on the tips, it's a girl. If they are fluffy, curved and pointy on the tips, it's a boy.
