I've raised Barnies too, ime they're fairly fast maturing I tend to sex mine around 4-5 weeks. If this is a cockerel he seems pretty slow maturing, which of course is possible. I have also had a pullet that had bright red wattles, but the wattles were small and it was definitely a pullet.
