These are our very first chickens! Been such a fun journey. They are now 10 weeks and I would love hear from anyone that has experience in predicting genders. I feel like we have 1 rooster for sure, but am worried they are all roosters, haha! Thanks in advance!!

This is Olive. “She” is an easter egger. In some lighting, those tail feathers look blue.

This is Rue. Lavender Ameraucana or Orpington. I’m not entirely sure.

Thanks I’m advance! 🐓

Oh interesting! Would you elaborate a little more on their patterns?
Male EE patterns are more irregular and have splotches of color in random places. Females have a more consistent pattern which can differ from neck to tail but is the same in each area (if that makes sense!)

I had one EE I was CONVINCED was a cockerel because of her high beautiful tail, but a few people on here told me she had a female pattern. So I read through every EE sexing thread I could find and learned a TON about patterning! This site has everything! Lol
