Gender guesses, please :)

I am going to be the dissenter here.  I think the BA looks like my girls when they were that age.  I thought for a long time that they were roos because of their stance, apparantly that is a breed thing, tail high, u-shape and standing extremely erect as chicks.  I think if this was a roo you'd see much more red in the comb and wattles.

But -- having said that -- time will tell.  Wait for the crow or the egg, whatever may come first.


This is so interesting to hear--thank you! This is our first experience with chickens, so we have nothing to compare it to. :)
Our BA is now about 11 weeks and still no more comb/wattle growth...I'm starting to think more hen now, especially after your response.
Like you said though, nothing sure until a crow or an egg ;) Thanks again!!
