At 3 weeks my BA pullets were completely feathered. My cochin roos are very slow to feather and they are 3 weeks old now too. Their feathering on their back looks the same. My guess is ROO!
 
Oh, I do hope its a hen - our other grown-up girl loves it, and already treats it like one of the family.

I'm amazed actually that Auntie Bella has taken to the chick so readily - teaching it to dig around in the bark chippings and she also catches and feeds it bugs. It's incredibly touching the way she takes it under her wing whenever Momma Henrietta isn't paying attention. I honestly thought we would have to keep Momma and chick separated from her, but putting the three of them together was the best decision we made. It now has two Mommas!

It'd be great if we could keep the three of them together.
