I got 2 RIR Chickens that are about 3 1/2 months old, and I can't quite tell if they are boys or girls... I got them as straight run from Atwoods. I'm still kind of new to all this, so any help you can give me so I can figure this out myself next time is greatly appreciated.

The first little guy in question is in the back of the group. We got the other two by him/her around the same time at another hardware store.

This little one was posed a little better I think.

Looks like a cockerel. He's got shiny sickle feathers on his tail, only roosters have that kind of tail feather- not hens.

That's what I had thought, but I googled them and saw a few that said they were hens with the shiny green tail feathers... That's what i get for believing stuff from the internet.

Usually the hens tail feathers are straight with a wee bit of black, and the sickles on the roo's usually should start to curve. Also his comb is big and red (so are the wattles)
