Gender?

Would love opinions on this one. This chick is an australorp x rhode island red. My first successful batch - I've been able to sex the rest of the chicks pretty successfully that I kept, but I only kept 1 australorp from this batch, and I'm stumped.
Chick is about 12-13 weeks old now. Hope the photo is good enough! No real feather differences to our same age pullets.

My opinion is that you can't go by this photo alone. There should be side views standing instead of in your hand. This is a mixed breed so it will not have all of the signs especially in colors of feathers, as a pure breed. Combs and wattles grow different for different breeds and at the age you posted, the growth is not unusual. Again, you asked for opinions. Chicken owner for 10 years, never a rooster in the flock.

Thank you! That's good advice. I'll get a better pic of him/her tomorrow if they'll play ball!
 
Looking like a cockerel, but the comb is being held up the light so I can't tell if it's bright red or pink. More pictures of it free standing would be nice.
Hopefully these are a bit better!
