Genders please? Pic Heavy

Here are the chicks I hatched out on the 24th (I want to say) of February.
I think I have half and half of roos to pullets, but maybe someone can tell me different? I cant keep any more roosters (already have one per a coop and then some) so they will need to be finding new homes if they are roosters...Still going to wait to find them homes until they are around 3 months old or so, but at least I can get an idea of who not to get attached to!

These were taken last week.

#1 the pretty grey chick..I think its a she? I really like this one...

#3 brown chick with his head crooked - I think he's a he. Very red waddles already, his comb is relatively large, and he's a beast compaired to everyone else, though can't really go by that because of the different breeds...


#4 Black chick..roo?, yellow chick pullet?


#5 black/white - pullet?


#6 gray chick - roo?


#7 drk gray chick - roo?


I can get better pics if anyone thinks they might be able to figure it out better. Theses chicks have a lot of energy and cant sit in one place for more than 2 seconds!

1st, leaning towards girl
2nd, not sure which is meant.. White looks like a cockerel, can't tell on others.
3rd, looks like a cockerel,
4th,Looks like it could go either way.. but i get a feeling of pullet even if it does have a fair size comb.
5th, pullet i believe.
6th,Maybe a cockerel.
7th, Maybe a cockerel..

Best i can guess. But really it can go either way unless there are STRONG signs that even someone who doesn't have chickens can notice, Or they start crowing/laying.

The last ones to develop feathers down the center of the back and on the wing bows are roos. Another way to tell, although not 100% accurate, is to feel their legs just about the feet. If you feel a spur bud, it's a roo.

Another way is to wave your hand in amongst them... the ones that raise their heads and peck at you are roos.

they always have buds, its just how big they are you pay attention to

#7 is a roo and #6 might be a roo.

I was hoping one of the gray ones would be a hen, but so far, I'm not thinking so!
I'm getting my camera out to take some pictures of the adults, so I can take some better pictures of their heads while the camera is out.
I had been going by who feathers first...It was working until a few that looked like hens, got wattles, and the ones I thought were roosters had barley anything on their head to say theyre a rooster!...
I wish I knew how to vent sex!

I'll have to try the hand thing - who pecks and who runs away - though they dont like me all that much as it is...but who knows!

Spurs are not an accurate way to sex chicks as females can get spurs just as well as males. The spurs don't start growing until the birds are mature and/or when the cockerels start to mate or become interested with the pullets.
