"Gene" question

When I got my Tibetans they were combined, the Tibetans were mixed in with the English White and im sure they bred, I hatched out 6 of my 9 eggs and most of them came from the Whites yet they look Tibetan lol.

What are the odds of that? Wouldn't you think the white gene would come through stronger since it was the hen?

Expression of a gene relies on the dominance of the gene, not which parent passes it on. The only exception that I can think of would be sex-link recessive genes.

I don't really have an answer for you right now, but out of curiosity....What color were the others?

Out of the 6 of 9 hatched. What was the "Golden/Tibetan" ratio? What other colors/patterns did you get?

3 have yet to hatch as they went in a day later but i will post pics after they all hatch so you can see
