My daughter will carry her Roo around and sometime will turn it on it’s back and pet it. My question is, is putting a chicken on it’s back for a few minutes ok? Someone messaged my wife and said she could really hurt the chicken. Thanks.

How old is your daughter? I am always a bit nervous about kids and roosters. Personally I don't think a few moments are that big of deal. But if it bothers you, tell her not to do it.

It doesn’t bother me, I think it’s cute the chicken looks to like it. The chicken doesn’t even fight her. She is 10 btw and is very good with animals, I just wasn’t aware of it hurting the chicken and I don’t want to do that.

Putting a chicken on it's back can interfere with lung and air sack function.
Can also cause crop contents to move back up, possible into the lungs.
Keep it to a minimum...and keep head end higher than tail end.
