I'll have a Genesis 1588 incubator within the next few days. I'm new to incubating. Does anyone have any suggestions for using this incubator? I have some eggs in an Rcom 10 Pro Plus right now, but I don't know how they're going to turn out, and that incubator literally does everything on it's own for you anyways. I just want to make sure that there's nothing I should know about this incubator before I start using it.

This Bator is SO easy to use!!! You still should get extra thermometers and hygrometers but it is as close to plug in and walk away as you can get for the price. About the only thing I ever have to do is add water. You will love it. Good luck!

I bought one used off Craigslist and an auto turner used off Ebay and just finished my first hatch with it this past weekend with 15 of 19 eggs hatching. I didn't buy a back up hygrometer or thermostat (against most people's better judgement I guess) but it stayed very consistent on the humidity and temperature. I just followed the instructions in the manual on which troughs to fill and when and it worked very well. I'm going to start some duck eggs within the next couple of weeks.

Good luck, I bet it will do well for you if you put good eggs in it.

Thanks! It's supposed to come in the mail today a long with some eggs I ordered, so I guess I'll find out how it does pretty soon.
