Genesis egg turner question

Hi all,
I had to change the defective motor on my Genesis 1588 egg turner that I just purchased. While replacing the motor the egg rack fell apart. My question is when it is put together correctly do the racks turn easy or are they suppsed to have little movement? I don't remember if it did or not prior.
