Can any of you recommend any good books or sites on genes, breeding etc? For example how to get if you breed a to b you get ????? If there was a genetics for dummies book I would get it. LOL

I have a Genetics textbook, but it doesn't concentrate on poultry.

This is one of the best ones I have read, it's geared towards chickens but the principal is the same. It's availible online and the Cornell U library or at Barnes & Noble and Amazon if you want a hard copy.

check the UPA web site and on there is a listing of a book by Fred Huebner that deals mostly with peafowl genetics, it is a very good one but it take some reading to understand it at least it did for me. There shouold be instructions on how to get it.. George connerhills
