What breeds of Roos are gentle on hens?

Probably depends on the particular rooster.

My most gentle rooster was my d'Uccle rooster.

My most aggressive was my Black Copper Marans rooster.

Not really a breed thing, not completely.

I have two pussycat roosters, a Delaware and a blue Orpington. I've had sweet-as-pie Barred Rocks, too, but I've also had aggressive Delawares and aggressive BRs and an aggressive true Ameraucana (not an Easter Egger-I say that because most true Ameraucanas are not that bad, they say, though EEs are genetically mixed and vary a lot).
