Georgia Giant Quail

I recommend starting a thread on the buying forum, you can find it if you scroll down from the BYC homepage.
Good luck!

eBay is (usually) a good place to go looking for eggs like

Any type of chicken including rare breeds
All types of coturnix quail colors, and other types like button, Gamble, and bobwhite, Also types of turkeys and peafowl.
I’ve done that for a few years now. It used to be really good. Hatch rate was great.
Now, well, I purchased from two different people this last spring with excellent reviews and what I got was 4 chicks out of 7 dozen.
Sellers reply that it’s shipping and handling. From what I’ve found, it’s poor handling by the seller.
I know it’s not my incubator because I incubated my own chickens, ducks and quail. People may have fertile eggs, but their ratio of hens to roosters is seriously off. That’s why I’m looking here.

Hatchery.
Yea they're more expensive but in my experience its cheaper in the long run.
Think of the weeks / months you put in, only to end up with more roosters than hens.

Bought from a hatchery, only one was a rooster .

I have a second group in the living room; about three weeks old.

If you specifically want only females I'd look a Cream Legbars.
You know right out of the egg if you have a male or female;
Females look "chipmunk" .

Tractor Supply had some Leg Bars a few days ago when I went in for my feed.

Talk to your local Tractor Supply and find out what orders they have coming in to your local.
